Clay Gambill

BIOGRAPHY

Clay Gambill is director of transloading and project cargo at Iowa Interstate Railroad, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the rail industry. His background spans Class I operations, demurrage, sales, and commercial leadership at a rail 3PL before joining IAIS in 2024.

Clay has presented to organizations including the US Department of Energy, national renewable energy labs, and the American CleanPower Association. He’s also been a guest speaker at the University of Arkansas and Virginia tech and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of railroad professionals.

He has recently been hired as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, where he teaches International Logistics.
